The community has defined its development plan. This development was undertaken with full knowledge of this site's designation but with no care. The developer believes he can wantonly disregard the rules and regulations defined by the residents of Pasco County -- and in particular those in the North East RURAL area.
The developer, Sanjay Amin, has a history of developing properties with no respect for the wishes of the local community and then selling. He has no care for the long-term viability of this project or of the community. He is here simply as a business proposition that will make him the most possible money on his investment. And then he'll be gone, leaving us to clean up the mess he has created with the help of our County Commissioners.
What is proposed is far too much density not only in regard to the local development plan but also in general.
The local community has invested in our agricultural and rural way of life. This RV/Condo project will ruin our culture and devastate our property values.
In order to skirt housing density rules in The Comp. Plan, this site is being proposed as a commercial development. But wait, it's being proposed as not commercial either. Let's be honest - it's a commercial venture. And, commercial of this magnitude simply does not belong here on a scenic rural road.
All of us can make a difference!

This is a link to the Proposed RV Park's website. While pretty drawings are nice, these do not tell the story of what will happen. 1,000 people stuffed onto 131 acres with event space, pools, splash pads, lodging, a store, laundry facilities, workout facilities, a dog park, a "nature" walk, watersports, dining services...sound like a day in the country? Nope.
Let's fill the room!
